Twilight Time
by C. David Hay |
Apollo closes his fiery eye, Colors melt from the western sky. Twilight steals on dusky feet, Night sounds swell and shadows meet. Darkened forest—misty dell— A realm of shadows casts its spell. Though I'm a creature of the light, I'm mesmerized by moods of night. Nocturnal pathways beckon me Into a world I cannot see: Primeval memories of a birth When darkness veiled the face of Earth. While others choose sunrise sublime, I fantasize in twilight time.
