Twilight Time
by C. David Hay |
Apollo closes his fiery eye, Colors melt from the western sky, Twilight steals on dusky feet, Night sounds swell and shadows meet. Darkened forest, misty dell; Realm of shadows casts its spell. Though I'm a creature of the light I'm mesmerized by moods of night. Nocturnal pathways beckon me Into a world I cannot see. Primeval memories of a birth When darkness veiled the face of Earth. While others choose sunrise sublime I fantasize in twilight time.
